Babel’s Sugar Shack is a small, family-run sugarhouse established in 2006. We take pride in making quality maple syrup in a small scale operation. We are proud of our maple syrup and were honored to be the recipient of the WMUR Viewer’s Choice for Best Sugarhouse in 2021, Runner-up in 2022, third in 2024 and fourth in 2025. We have also been inspected by the State of New Hampshire Department of Agriculture and have received the Seal of Quality designation.
September 2022 we won 1st Prize and Best in Show for our amber and dark syrup at the Hillsborough County Fair. We won three blue ribbons at the Hillsborough County Fair in September 2023. Our fair season for 2024 was our best yet where we earned blue ribbons at the Hopkinton State Fair and Hillsborough County Fair and a second place ribbon at the Cheshire Fair. The 2025 fair season was also award winning for us!
We placed 2nd in the 2022 and 2023 New Hampshire Maple Producer’s Carlisle Award, 4th place in 2024, and 5th place in 2025.
